What personal data are collected and used?
Filling in the contact form
- Name and first name (when registering on the site): We ask for your first and last name in order to know your identity. This information will not be used for any other purpose. If you do not wish to communicate your real name, you can use a pseudonym (respectful).
- Email Address: We ask for this to ensure that you are a real person when you contact us and to be able to respond to you.
- Message: If you contact us with a question or comment, you have a great deal of control over the information we receive from you. For example, you may send us an email that also includes your Twitter account, business email address, or a photo.
Use of Cookies
We use functional cookies to ensure that the website functions properly. These cookies are collected via the CookieYes application, which allows us to record your preferences regarding whether or not you consent to the sharing of anonymous information about your browsing behavior on our website.
We also use analytical cookies, via Google Analytics, to produce performance reports about users’ browsing habits on our website: origin of traffic, most popular pages, number of clicks, etc. This data is also anonymous and you can choose at any time whether or not to share it. Subscribe to the Data Lama newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we will keep you up to date on the latest news about Data Lama activities and related topics. In every email you receive, you will have the option to unsubscribe from the newsletter. You will receive monthly emails about data and how it is used to serve the community.
We use the services of Mailchimp to prepare and send our newsletter. Mailchimp is a company in compliance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), under which it guarantees the right of citizens to request rectification of their information as well as its deletion.
Data shared via connected social networks
If you wish to post content from Data Lama on social networks, you must first connect to the relevant social network. The social network then becomes responsible for processing your data. Data Lama only records the fact that you have shared one of our publications on the network.
In no case can Data Lama be held responsible for the data that the providers of the social networks, such as Google, Facebook, Instagram or Twitter collect about you.
Will your personal data be transferred?
We will not transfer your personal data to third parties unless you explicitly and specifically consent to it. However, in some cases, we are required by law to disclose your information to the appropriate authorities.

How long is your data kept?
Data Lama does not keep your personal data longer than necessary, taking into account the need to answer questions, resolve problems, improve our services and offer new ones, and to meet legal requirements. We keep the data for a maximum of five years after the end of Data Lama’s activities. At any time, you can request the deletion of your data or the termination of a subscription to our newsletter.
What are your rights?
- You are under no obligation to provide personal data. However, not providing personal data means that the Data Lama team is not able to answer your questions or subscribe you to its newsletter.
- You can request the correction of your personal data or to add additional information.
- You can request access to your personal data.
- Your right to data portability: you can receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
- Your right to limit the processing of your personal data: you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be limited in the future.
- You have the right to revoke the consent you have given (e.g. newsletter registration), without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on your consent prior to its revocation.
